We are excited to share a recent update from Narbu, one of our ministry leaders in  Nepal.

Narbu just conducted an impactful one-day mental health awareness seminar at the House of Hope Church in Ilam. This seminar was Narbu’s first time discussing this crucial topic within his church community.

And it’s important that he did. The Ilam district has a reputation for having one of the highest rates of suicides in Nepal. As Narbu and his team have engaged with the community there, they’ve observed a recurring pattern of destructive thoughts among the people. The seminar proved to be a blessing for all 50 members who actively participated—not only did they acquire essential skills to discern signs of mental distress, but they are now equipped to intervene effectively and promptly.

As our Mobile Messengers spread the Gospel, they also introduce communities to the healing touch of Jesus Christ. By addressing the acute needs, they follow in the footsteps of our Savior.
