Meet Fatma. She is a 17-year-old refugee living in Lebanon. She originally came to the country with her husband, but he was forced to flee after a conflict with his employer. Fatma was alone.
And when she learned she was pregnant, she was frightened. She turned to our Lebanon Life Center, where she had enrolled in our sewing school and asked for help. Our doctor saw Fatma through her pregnancy and gave her vitamins, checking up on the baby for regular screenings.
“Two months after graduating from the sewing school, I was blessed with the arrival of my son. The delivery was smooth, and the baby was in excellent health. Throughout this year, I have seen God’s presence in every aspect of my life. From the moment my husband left the country, I have felt His love through the teachers, volunteers, doctors, and even foreign volunteers who could not speak our language. Although I am alone in raising my child, I am comforted by the fact that I have a family…at the Life Center who have provided me with the strength, confidence, and emotional fortitude to raise him to the best of my ability.”
Fatma is currently at home, lovingly caring for her newborn baby. Our clinic is dedicated to ensuring the health and well-being of both mother and baby, and we have registered them for our babies program which provides Fatma with essentials like milk, diapers, and baby clothes.
