Russia’s ongoing war continues to wreak havoc—even outside Ukraine—leading to fuel shortages and food crises around the world.
Politico recently reported that an estimated 18 million people in Africa face another hunger crisis. The reason? “African countries imported 44 percent of their wheat from Russia and Ukraine from 2018 to 2020.”
To help our partners on the ground navigate this crisis, we’ve been providing food distributions for our Mobile Messengers to disperse.
