Relief for Ukraine
Like many of you, our hearts are broken about what’s happening in Ukraine. We are committed to providing necessary relief for the people impacted by this unprovoked war: 100% of the donations will be invested directly into helping the people of Ukraine.
Our friend and partner, Taras Dyatlik, who lives in Ukraine with his family, is coordinating with seminaries and local church leaders to care for the growing number of refugees. Taras asks for our prayer and support, “Please pray for Ukrainian Christians, that we will serve and live as the community of hope in a full sense of this term; that during these terrible times we would invite more and more people to a relationship with God and His children, to the relationships of love, hope, encouragement, support; that our minds and characters would continue to transform into the character of Jesus Christ.”
Here is How We’ll Do It:
- Distribute funds through seminaries and related churches in Ukraine, which are sheltering refugees and assisting them as they relocate to safer areas inside and outside the country.
- Partner with churches in surrounding countries (Moldova, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Germany, and others) that are opening their doors to refugees crossing the borders.
- Grant funds to churches and seminaries so they can provide food, temporary shelter, and means of transportation for displaced people, especially high-risk families who had to leave loved ones behind.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in… ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
– Matthew 25:35, 40
Testimonies from On-the-Ground
“We do our best to care for our students, faculty, and refugees. Our team turned basements into shelters…we provide food and accommodation for all who need it. As for now, everybody is safe.”
— Ivan Rusyn, the President of the Ukraine Evangelical Theological Seminary, located near the Kyiv airport
